Jumpers
- Based on speed and agility of the horse and rider
- Position is not judged but is important to help horse and rider stay balanced through tighter turns

- Tall boots or paddock boot with half chaps
Western
- Horsemanship
- Judged on rider but a responsive horse contributes to a winning presentation
- Patterns may be used

- Judged on the horses ability to perform the required gaits
- Required to walk, jog, lope and back quietly

- Series of obstacles that mimic what is encountered on the trail
- Horses should be calm and willing throughout the class
