Simon - Simply Irresistible

Simon entered Krista's life at a place called Camp Curiosity.  In his past he has lived in Texas and who knows where else.  He was abused and took some time to trust.  But once his trust was won his heart opened up.  Making him the most amazing horse ever. 

Krista worked with Simon under her instructor Katie Flemming.  Simon wouldn't let anybody touch his ears and putting on the bridle and halter were a task.  Also the first lesson was learning how to walk.  As soon as Krista got on, Simon took off in a canter.  From working in the round pen to many other ground lessons including long lining Krista and Simon formed a bond.

On June 1st 2003, Krista's parents agreed to lease Simon.  This continued for about 3 years.  They competed in Hunter/Jumpers and taught each other a lot.  They became a great team and soon were considered partners for life.

October 23rd 2005, Simon was welcomed into the Oswald family.  Krista and her parents took on the task of spoiling and pampering Simon for the rest of his years to come.  Simon and Krista ventured into more shows from jumpers to gymkanna and even some western pleasure.  They achieved so much together from champions to just becoming an unstoppable duo.

Simon has helped Krista become the instructor she is today.  He taught many lessons of all ages and skill levels.  Being feisty yet safe was his specialty.  Putting up with complete beginners so he could then have fun with the advanced students.

We lost Simon way too soon at the age of 24.  He will forever be remembered as many people's favorite horse.  No horse could replace him but many will be loved for that is what he would want.
